Registration

The registration for the SSSD 2026 is now open. 

Registration fee – Regular participant
The fee is 3195 SEK excl. VAT until 30 April. After 30 April the fee is 4395 SEK excl. VAT.

Registration fee – Bachelor & Master student
The fee is 2445 SEK excl. VAT until 30 April. After 30 April the fee is 3405 SEK excl. VAT.

The registration fee includes full conference entrance with participation in all sessions, morning coffee, lunch and afternoon coffee in accordance with the program.

Welcome Reception – Thursday 21 May at Gävle Concert Hall 18:15
The fee is 150 SEK excl. VAT.

Congress Dinner – 22 May, 2026
The fee is 796 SEK excl. VAT and includes a welcome drink, a three-course dinner, two beverages (wine, beer, or non-alcoholic), and coffee or tea. 

Please note: All conference fees above are in SEK excluding VAT. According to the Swedish and EU legislation, 25% VAT will be added to the conference fees. In some cases, however, VAT is not applicable e.g. Swedish government public organizations (“statliga myndigheter”).

Exchange rates may vary. To check current exchange rates, please ask your bank, or visit a web-based currency converter, for example oanda.com or x-rates.com, or your preferred converter service.

Payment

Payment must be made before the conference. Payment can be made by credit card or by bank transfer (invoice).

Swedish participants

  • All payments must be made in SEK (Swedish krona).
  • Swedish delegates can choose to pay either by credit card or by invoice.
  • If you choose to pay by invoice, you will receive your invoice by e-invoice (e-faktura) in first hand and otherwise as a pdf attachment by e-mail.

Participants from outside Sweden

  • All payments must be made in SEK (Swedish krona).
  • Participants from outside Sweden can choose to pay either by credit card or by invoice. Payment with invoice is available until 30 April. After 30 April, only payment by credit card is accepted. We will not accept any bank charge deductions.
  • Upon choice of payment with” International bank transfer” on the registration form, you will receive an invoice including bank transfer information such as bank account, IBAN, etc. The invoice will be sent as a pdf attachment by e-mail.
  • Please note that we accept the following credit cards: VISA and Master Card.
  • Your credit card must be connected to 3D Secure, that is, Verified by Visa or MasterCard SecureCode. Your bank can help you check that your card is connected or help you to connect it.
  • Credit card payment is implemented through Nets, payment solutions for secure on-line payment.

According to Swedish and EU legislation, 25% Swedish VAT will be added to all registration fees. This according to EU legislation and regulation for conferences and events (C-647/17, EU:C:2019:195, of 13 March 2019 and Article 53 of Council Directive 2006/112/EC of 28 November 2016) VAT is paid in the country where services are rendered, e.g. the country in which the conference takes place.

Exception: Swedish participants from governmental public sector organizations “statliga myndigheter” (e.g., universities, governmental agencies): No VAT will be added. In this case, you must choose Invoice (Swedish billing address only) as the payment mode and provide the VAT number of your employer.

For payment by credit card, VAT will always be charged, also for participants from “statliga myndigheter”.

Cancellation conditions

Notification of cancellation must be made in writing and sent to the conference secretariat, Academic Conferences, sssd2026@akademikonferens.se
Cancellation of registration will be accepted until 30 March up to which date 50% of the  total amount will be refunded.

We regret that no refunds or reductions of fees will be accepted for cancellations made after 30 March.

 

Replacement of participant

Should you be unable to attend the conference, you have the opportunity to send someone else in your place. If this is the case, your registration need to be adjusted as soon as possible. Kindly contact the conference administration secretariat at SSSD2026@akademikonferens.se.

In order to do this, we must collect and process personal data.
